Illimani, the iconic guardian of La Paz, is the highest mountain in the region and one of Bolivia’s most imposing peaks. With multiple summits permanently covered in snow, three of them rising above 6,000 meters, its main peak reaches an impressive 6,438 meters. (The second highest in Bolivia).
This is a highly technical and demanding climb, reserved for experienced and determined mountaineers seeking a serious high-altitude challenge.

Day 1.
La Paz – Pinaya – Base Camp

From your hotel in the city of La Paz, we will move to the town of Pinaya, this is the point of entry to the Illimani, from here we continue by vehicle to the base camp (4,480m), we will make our camp in this place.

Day 2.
Base Camp – High Camp

a 5-hour hike through a trail and rocks to the high camp called “Nido del Condor” at 5,550 m. where we will prepare for the night.

Day 3.
High Camp – Summit – High Camp – Base Camp

Early departure through glacier terrain to reach our objective, the South of Illimani (6,438 m).
We then return to high camp, pick up camp and continue to base camp.

Day 4.
Base Camp – Pinaya – La Paz

Return to Estancia Pinaya where our vehicle will be waiting, and return to La Paz.
